KDM Construction is a locally owned residential construction company based in Oldtown, Idaho, serving homeowners throughout North Idaho and Northeast Washington.

MEET KYLE
My name is Kyle Malsbury, and I am the owner of KDM Construction.
I was born and raised in Oldtown, Idaho, and grew up around construction. My grandfather, Jack Jones, worked as a general contractor in the Newport area for more than 30 years, and my father, Guy Malsbury, has been a general contractor for nearly my entire life.
From both of them, I learned much more than how to build. I learned the importance of integrity, hard work, attention to detail, and treating people fairly.
After graduating from high school, I originally wanted to step away from the family business. I spent time landscaping and later worked several seasons for a gas company.
Those jobs taught me a lot, but they also made one thing clear: I wanted to work with my hands, take responsibility for my own work, and build something of my own.
I returned to construction and spent several years learning more about both the trade and running a business. While working alongside my grandfather, I gained a deeper understanding of craftsmanship, integrity, and what it means to earn a customer’s trust.
Eventually, I took on one of my biggest projects yet, framing my own home. Since then, I have continued building, learning, and growing KDM Construction one project at a time.
